God

God created everything and everyone for his glory. Man was created uniquely by God to be in relationship with him (Colossians 1:16), and in his original condition, man was perfect and without sin.

Man

The first man disobeyed God, committed the first sin, and broke his relationship with God and with one another. Because of sin, all humanity is separated from God (Romans 3:23) and is under his wrath (John 3:17).

Christ

Because of his great love, God made the way for our relationship with him to be restored through the death of his Son, Jesus. By repenting of sin and believing on Jesus, we can be made right with God, have our sins forgiven, and have new life through Jesus (Acts 2:37-38). The work of salvation is a work of God’s free grace (Ephesians 2:8-9).

Response

A person must repent of their sin and believe on Christ to be saved. When a person does repent and believe, they become a new creation and have a new life, and they have an eternity secure in Christ and by Christ (John 10:27-30, Romans 8:38-39).
